Simple Strawberry Smoothie

After tacos and cakes at the farmer's market I needed a light dinner.

I'd just bought 2 pounds' worth of strawberries so I made one of my favourite smoothies. It only consists of almond milk (super low in calories!), strawberries, greek yoghurt and honey.

Setting up the photo probably took more time than the making of the smoothie!

Faux Gold

I found this charger plate amongst the Christmas decorations in Randalls. It was fun to build a set around such a basic piece, which also resulted in a good chill session, complete with back-to-back episodes of South Park.

I can't imagine how much fun designers of window displays have. It must be a fantastic job, having the freedom to conjure up an orgasm of trippy visuals... the Christmas displays at Selfridges always looked like they were designed by someone on acid. I miss London so much right now!

Pink Bubbly

Pretty teacup... check.

English Breakfast tea from Fortum & Mason... check.

Teapot... oh damn - I don't have a teapot!!

One teacup really does not hold enough tea for a good drinking session... So before I get myself a teapot, I guess this gorgeous teacup will have to be used for other means.

(This china set is part of the Royal Doulton collection that celebrates 100 years of Royal Albert China)

Self-indulgence needs no occasion!

Chambord Mini

So I hope you indulged yourself like I did today.

I only noticed lately that they sold a mini version of the liqueur... it's perfect as I can bring it back home when I eventually leave London, instead of throwing the 70cl bottle away. Besides, I'm not a huge fan of the redesign. In fact, I'm utterly devastated. I can't believe they're letting this gorgeous design go. Trading romance for practicality? Blasphemy!!

The handmade greeting card is by Karrie Barron cards. I bought it a few years back at The Apple Market in Covent Garden... haven't seen the stall since then, sadly.

Oh, and I still have a pair of earrings I got at a halloween party yearssss ago, back in primary school. Adorable, aren't they?

I've just changed my blog name... This blog was originally for detailing my experiences with tinnitus, but I feel like it's evolving to be about other things as well. I did like my old title though... "The Closest Thing to Silence" reflected the condition well.

Anyways, Happy Halloween!
